Default Installed ebay XS headers

Installed my XS headers over the weekend. I had no problems at all. I didn't have to cut or remove anything and they don't hit the k-member anywhere. I slid both sides in without hitting anything or removing anything. In fact I had to use bungie cords to hold the headers up because they would stay in place while I moved up top to get ahold of them. Here's some pic. As you can see I also removed the air connections and had the holes welded shut.

The pacesetter y-pipe I had wouldn't work so I had to do some modifying.

Good job, they look great! This goes to show that header fitment issues are normally due to large tolerances in our cars. The last guy who installed these had to grind his k-member slightly and everyone flipped out. Do you have poly motor mounts? I have a theory that these would fix almost all header clearance issues.

These might be the new hot ticket if somebody finds a y-pipe that fits nice. Didn't one guy run the QTP y-pipe without problems?

Someone should try a tsp-y. An expensive y like the QTP's defeats the purpose of these cheap headers.

Man those look pretty dam good. Have you dyno' d yet.

My brother and I just installed some QTP HVMCs and he will be dyno'ing and tuning in a week or so. He did make 327/35X RWHP/TQ, so we' ll see how much it woke his car up.

Congrats'

Seems odd tho, the headers dont look at all alike. I'll wait till I hear another say the TSP Y pipe fits.

Thumbs up

sweet, very good lookin/fitting pieces.....maybe this will help drop all Stainless header prices down.

i totally agree with slowscott, Our cars are assembly line cars with each one made different than the last.(as far as tolerances go) Budget performance cars cant have everything perfect

The collectors just have to come out in about the same place and then the adjustabilty in the y allows it to fit more than one type of header. Or atleast thats how I understand it.
