Buy a breather. I got my Metco from Year One , it screws right onto the oil filler tube. Then all you have to do is pull out all the lines. Theres a line that plugs into the back of the dr. side valve cover, and goes to the back of the pass. valve cover where it Y's. Pull out all that tubing, and continue up to the front fo the valve cover, then pull out the PCV valve and pull the tube off the Intake where the PCV line went in.
Once you've got all that out, just plug up all the holes and install your breather.

When the car is running you can see some "smoke" coming out of the filter everyonce and a while. But by no means is oil getting thrown around the engine compartment, and theres no film or residue from what I can tell either.

Damn thats nifty ... wish I had thought of that back when I did mine. Woulda saved some $$
