Terminator Boxes Finally Done!
Well, here they are in final form with the 1200 degree high temp ceramic paint. You'll notice the straps of 22 gauge doubled up on the 1/3 and 3/3rds spots and the support inside the box. You can also see the bell mouth which is a collector reducer that is meant for a 3 bolt collector flange. Although they appear a little wavy they are actually very rigid and I think they will last quite well considering this is only a street strip setup and no road racer subjected to constant high heat by any means. Any comments are appreciated!

Take a look at this article, it will explain what i'm doing/try to do here. The short and sweet is these boxes allow the remainder of the exhaust system after them to remain invisible to the motor if the proper mufflers are chosen which I have with the magnaflows. Essentially you get open header performance with a quiet exhaust, or much quieter then open headers anyway.
There is more to exhaust then flow, and backpressure is simply something that you don't want, regardless of what your grandpa tells you

Looks good. We've talked about doing this for months. I'm glad you're going to try it. The theory is sound, but getting the boxes to fit remains a challenge for many 4th Gen owners. I'm glad you're doing it. Take lots of pictures of the underside of your car so we can see the clearance. Thumbs up!

Guys, they are installed and I have started the car with them. Will get some pictures asap. They do have a little bit of a tinny sound to them but I haven't heard them long enough to say for sure how they'll end up growing/not growing on me. I'll make sure to report back soon!

Please post up some install pics/vids asap! I'm sure that a sound clip on here won't do it justice, but at least we'll get an idea.
I read thru that article but it was late at night when I read it. Did it go into how to determine your box size in there? I understand the basis around the science of it, but how do you determine what size box to do, etc.?
Oh and if you see significant gains over a normal xpipe setup would you wanna build me a box?
