Should I switch to race gas???
My car made 750 rwhp/ 600 ft. lbs on pump gas (no meth/nitrous) when I initially had it tuned. Alan Futral tuned it and it was making about 12-15 lbs of boost (with the F1) at the time with the A/F at around 11.5. I just installed a shorter/better belt (hopefully to get rid of some belt slip) and installed a larger MagnaFuel pump for more fuel. Since I am going to have it tuned anyway, I thought about switching to race gas, but I am not sure how much I would actually gain over the 93 octane.
Would the extra cost of the race fuel be worth the gain? I don't drive the car all the time, but do take short cruises around town in it.
My car weighs 3700lbs. with me in it, so I need all the help I can get.
I kind of like the reaction I get when people find out I am running pump gas though.

For all out power and pushing it hard I would do race gas. I would just fill up with race gas and do a all out tune on it. Seems to me like you allready have the street tune. Then swap back and fourth as needed You will be able to add more timing for sure with the higher octance and make a good amount of power.

Well, I don't have the tuning software to do it myself. I have been racing already and while I can't complain at consistent 6.50s@104 with a best of 6.38@106, I know there is more there.

Well I would just spend the $ on the software that way you are able to scan your car and know what is really going on. Swapping tunes is also really easy to do once you are filmiliar with the software. I started from scratch with HP tuners and there help section in the software is really user friendly.

Well, I can get 100 octane unleaded or 110 octane that is leaded. I am not sure what the leaded gas would do to my O2 sensors or my DynoJet wideband O2 sensor.

So how much could I benefit from the race gas? If I were to buy some unleaded 100 or 109 anyone know how much of a gain I could expect from each?
I guess I wouldn't want to chance messing up my wideband with the leaded gas.

Why not run pump gas + meth ???
At least then you are only using the extra octane/cooling when you really need it.
I made 735rwhp and 666lft on pump gas only. I'm guessing that I have a tad more with the meth now.
When driving the car normally, race fuel is just wasted. With an alky kit...it isnt. Its not a perfect system, but in my opinion, its a lot more efficient in terms of cost.

I went from 627 rwhp to 650 rwhp on the race gas. All that was changed was the timing. Every setup is different. I dont drive my car everyday so I made two tunes. One on the race gas and one for street use. Still have room to grow but I am waiting on my motor to come back from the shop
