Exclamation C6 and C5 z06 VS ME

coming back from monday night car meet; i ran against two Z06s. it was yellow c6 and silver c5 Z06. first run against the C6, it was just MURDER~ he pulled on me from 20-120 with a ease. about good 3-5 cars on me befo we hit the brakes. i had no chance watsoever. we ran it 2 times but i couldnt stand a chance. but against old z06 i pulled on him good 2-3 cars on him @ the end of 2nd and 3rd gear. he had half car on me from 20-60mph then i pulled good 2-3 cars on him at the end. we shut it around 120mph.

i need NITROUS

I'd guess both stock (or close to it) and TX_SS at about 420rwhp or so in order to pull a C5Z and get pulled by the C6Z by those amounts. TX_SS that about right on your car????

havent changed the valve springs for good 60k miles and it badly needs a retune. plus those true duals will give me better powerband and flow. im guessing on this one. only one way to find out..

The only way to get the C6 ZO6 is to have some real sticky non runflat tires, and have a nearly empty tank. Any weight reduction you can get, you are going to need it. I'd go on a diet for some weight reduction, but I like the muscle as much as Horsepower. Guess I need more horsepower. You figure you race with 1 gallon in the tank, you are saving 17 x 8 lbs = 136 and another 10 lbs per tire thats 176 lb. Wouldn't hurt if the Z had a full tank to boot. Should walk it then. LOL.
