Wow! Nice numbers. And I like the step by step pictures. Very nice to see the documented build.

Another great build...
the other Caddy you did, you fabbed the air intake tubing I believe...I sent you a message about something similar for my application...
this one has a hat w/ flex duct...is this w/ the kit?...
this would also fit the P1SC correct?...if so, I could route to driver side wheel well also...
what all attaches to the hat after the pics taken?

Thanks

Thumbs up

Thanks everyone, we appreciate it!

Nice pics!! Is the guy from NY? I was going to say thats a baby cooler but its tucked in there very nicely! Yes he is from New York. That is the largest intercooler we could fit in there. The iat's stay down at 11 psi with no problems.

Another great build...

We use the inlet hat from the ATI ProCharger F Body kits. We have to modify it slightly by heating it up and reshaping it to clear the shock tower. The F body inlet hat is on the restrictive side, as inlet hats go, but it manages to fit and the car makes enough power with it. We keep silicone couplers and adaptors in stock, that we use on these V's. We have indeed changed some of the plumbing around since the first build, you have sharp eyes. The first V had 2.5" intercooler tubing, we have now found a way to use 3.0". We have routed it a little differently as well. The intercooler we are now using has the inlet and outlet both at the bottom of the intercooler. This has made the plumbing much more sanitary. As with anything in life, we keep making changes as we find better solutions. This would indeed also fit the P-1SC, they both use the same housing. I'll try to get some more pic's of the plumbing from the air inlet tomorrow. Bob

Bob we need to talk about that piece you used to come off the blower for the filter! I think that will work perfect for my F1C setup. Anyway in making that with a 4" opening so I can slap it on the F1C?

Where's are the fans? Your pics are great, I've been comtemplating doing some reconfiguring on the front end of my V and your pics really help me to decide what I'm doing without having to go look at mine.

Good work by the way. Maybe this will be the first V in the 11s.

Thanks! We relocated the ATI supplied GTO fan kit on to the front side of the condensor, and use the fans as pusher fans. We use foam insulation around the edges of the condensor to force the air through the radiator. There is no reason why this car couldn't run in the elevens with the hp and torque it has. Bob

Thanks Bob...when you do get a chance...more pics of that would be greatly appreciated...I'm pretty sure the 90 I now use is too big to flip around 180 and plumb into the fender well...the hat may be a little restrictive, but kp is running it and running quite well with it I might add...I thought Turbonetics made a Nitrile close radius 90 that was similar, but the largest available is 3" ID...I saw mention of and a pic of one supposedly in 4" ID in another thread, posted by DJ's99SS, described as a "cobra head", but do not know it's source...

The P1SC and the D1SC also both require a 4" ID hose, coupler, elbow, etc...
such as the one in the above post...although it looks like a hard plastic...it is listed as black rubber on their website, so it should clamp right to our air intake inlets...

I know it would fit and attach...my only concern is whether it would hold up under some the f-body set-ups running 12+ psi...I think it would work on mine

I would rather have a molded piece like the ATI hat that has metal inserts reinforcing the inlet and outlet for clamping couplers to, but I am sure that piece is pricey...and it may have to be modified to fit in my application which may make it incompatible...I mean...you couldn't shorten the filter end w/o losing your reinforcement I don't believe...

ProStockJohn could probably chime in and give us some insight on the "cobra head"...he had one that he sold recently.

I run one of those on my Syclone, they are very thick pretty hard rubber.

That is one awesome CTS-V. I want one.
