Question Re-locate the STS oil line

I have a STS turbo syetem installed on my Z28 (LS1 1999) and currently am removing the engine due to a piston ring problem (blown).

Now that the engine is totally out of the car, do you guys have any idea if I can locate in a different place the oil line from the turbo? By now it is located on the oil cap. I was wondering if any of you have drill a hole on the oil pan to install there that STS oil line. OR maybe you have any other suggestion.

Thanks a lot for the help, and any suggestion or commment will be greatly appreciated.

We do the return in the shallow part of the pan in front of the rack.

The STS uses a return pump. Its easier to get the oil to the pan then up to the oil fill cap that the STS usually uses.

This looks like the best way to do the oil return that I have seen. Bob

you may tig a bead aroung the hole so that when you tap it you have more meat to tap into.
