Best way to repair ripping leather?
I have leather that is getting worn away in the drivers seat on the bottem. The hole bottem section needs to be replaced. I called a upholstery shop, and they said i would probley be around 250$ dollers to be repaired. I cant spend that much money right now and that seems really high.
Should I just try to find a leather seat cover and redo the whole seat or try to replace the bottem by myself. What would be the most cost-effective way, and has anyone else had this problem and what did they do.

Alot of people have this problem including me, The leather int he Camaro's isnt the highest quality by far. In my opinion it sucks, for the money you spend to purchase the car GM should have thought about this instead of putting the want to be leather in our cars.
The only real way to fix this is to buy real leather seat replacement covers, but that is alot more $$$ than a few hundred. I looked at replacing my front and rear seat covers with real leather and I was looking at spending around $1200 for it. You get what you pay for in this case.
