Polishing Engine Parts Questions
Are the coil brackets able to be polished? And is the bracket that holds the throttle linkage that attaches to the intake able to be polished?

I never coat items except for using Zoop seal.
When you coat stuff it cuts down on the shine. My work looks like chrome so I'd never waste my time coating something that cuts shine down to an unacceptable level.
I stand by my comment that "no" it can't be polished. It's not stainless or aluminum so it will rust. F#ck that.

Chrome is nice, but if it's out of your budget, there are other alternatives available. This is a mild carbon steel tensioner pulley from an LT1 accessory bracket that I polished to a mirror and then coated with Duplicolor Metalcast red:
The previous comments about the parts rusting is true, but as far as coatings go, it really comes down to personal preference in regards to whether the shine is acceptable to you or not. If you wanna get an idea for what something that's been highly polished and then clear powdercoated looks like, go check out the website www.marchperf.com . All of the parts that they use in their demo photos are clear powdercoated.
On a side note: you've seen polished 304 stainless steel right? Mild carbon steel can be polished to look just as good as that.
