just wanted to know how many 1998 Firebird Formula's were made. Mine is White and is a hard -top A4. Are they very common??

The fact that it's not a dime a dozen, run of the mill, cheapy econo-box camaro means that it is at least a little bit rare. ;)

:D

2,123 formula's for 1998 roughly... can't tell you much more specific than that

They made 270 white Formulas in '98... A4's were more than 2/3 of them, which purely from a statisical standpoint would be like 180 of those. Roughly 1/4 of those came with a hard top... which would be about 45 cars.

So no, it's not particularly rare.

If it was a WS6 or 1LE it would be a rare car.. but white is one of the most common F-body colors ever.

No way to verify that, it's just based on percentages of Formulas built. Could be more, could be less... but based on statistics that's a rough estimate.

Only accurate number I can give you is that it's 1 of 270 white '98 Formulas.

1 of 45 not rare? OK
Impossible to know, but, how many are still running 8-9 years later?

FYI I drive a 98 T/A with 184,400 miles, no major repairs. You should see a good many miles.

Well, consider that by the same statistical estimates my Formula would be 1 of 4... White was the 4th most popular color for '98 Formulas.

In order of popularity, highest to lowest, black was the most popular... then came red, NBM, white, silver... then there's a huge drop to Blue-Green Chameleon, sport gold, red-orange, bright green, purple.

Lots of '98s still around... LS1s seem to last pretty long, it is a rather durable motor.

compared to the rest of 4th gen f-bodies, Formulas are rare. They built around 2000 per year normally. Compare that with the 10,000 Camaro SS's, or the 15,000 Trans Ams, or the shit-tons of Camaro Z28s. Formulas are rare, period.

Being that it's black, it's probably the least rare of any car in that line.
