Default 350z vs 06 c6, bolt on cobra 100 shot and 04 cobra with bolt ons

This is the link:

Those cobras can be monsters. I ran one with bolt ons and a 150 shot and he pulled me by 6 cars or so. The first race with the cobra, he should have one considering it was a 150 shot. I dont know, maybe he cant drive.

I agree with everything except that being a Ported Eaton car. Pulley and tune only. The Vette would have closed the gap a bit with more room. Dont those 350z's cost the same as a Vette, almost? To each his own.

The vette wouldnt have closed the gap with more room. I have run a c6 z06 up to 170 with a 2 car lead. Not enough hp.

The vette is about 15 thousand or so more dollars(base vs base).

U beat a c6 z06 by 2 cars to 170 but you got beat by a ported blower cobra? I call B/S on that one.

You get your car back yet? C6 Z06's are pretty crazy man, so if your talking about your old set-up im thinking a C6 sounds about right. That NX kit will be done Friday, should be fun. BTW seemed like that cobra (99) missed a gear on both races

The longblock should be in here by friday. Now I'm just waiting on the turbokit. So hopefully within the next month or month and a half.

Yea it should be fun. We should line up the mr2 vs the camaro jsut to see what happens. I'm really hoping I hit the 750rwhp at 20psi with the 350z. I'm not putting all this money in it for nothin!

Ok I just realized the first race was a C6 (not a Z06)...makes sense now! I thought a C6 would be able to hang better w/ a 470 RWHP Cobra with the large weight difference b/w the two. From the vids it looks like if you ran the Cobra against the vette that the vette would get beat pretty good?

Stock C6 is a bit of a weird animal. The torque management programmed into a stock car can really kill the performance. It pulls timing at each shift as protection for tranny/rear. A tune makes them different cars to drive. Some stock C6s do well (low to mid 12s), but the majority are high 12 cars untuned. Oh, and they put down about 340rwhp stock, so the extra 130rwhp isn't absorbed by the additional 600 pounds, only about half.

Given it was the only stock car that ran...not too bad. This one looked particulary slow in the run too (wonder if it was auto/stick?).

Nice runs.

Seen a stock C6 at the track last night and it was running 14.00 at around 102.His best run was 13.8 I think and his dial in time was 14.1???? I was really dissapointed and I am sure it really could have used the driver mod. I was pretty stunned. I squeeked out a 13.0 at 106 in my 2000 Z28 A4 2.73 Yank 3000. I need headers and a cam.

Would be impossible since they arent rear wheel drive. And my point was I, you know me, myself, thought it was funny that a TT 350 couldnt pull a C6 harder than my old SRT4. Nothing more nothing less, no panties need to be wadded in this thread. And I would hope a motor with 2 more cylinders and more compression could make more power at the same bost level.

I dont know what you would expect, but I think a 3 car lead is more than appropriate for 8-9 psi of boost.

I ran a 115 trap in my car with 8psi on a stock exhaust and 118 with a 2.5 in.

I never ran my SRT4 at the track but I also pulled a 420 rwhp WS6 on the highway by a few cars. I would assume my SRT4 would have trapped in the 118-120 range.
