I pulled the tint off my rear window, but there is alot of the glue remaining. What is the best way (that wont mess up my window or defrost) that i can get it off? I tried nail-pollish remover, but there is alot of glue over a wide area, and this seems to take forever. Is there a better way?

I was gonna say soapy warm water and a razor blade, but not for the back window. Maybe some goo-gone or just keep on going with the nail polish remover.

acetone worked well when i took the tint off of my back window, and didnt mess anything up

for back windows, i use this stuff called "simple pink" that i get from my supplier, it's just a "goo-gone" / tint remover....but basically use anything that's solvent based to really get at the glue. ( i have my stuff in a spray bottle and i spray a good coat on the whole thing) let it sit for a few as the glue loosens up. then i take a teflon hard card (you can use an old credit card or something of that nature) and just use that to kinda scrape it off....the plastic card won't hurt the defroster lines. rear windows are a pain in the *** though.... just keep working at it though

actually my gf bro-law had toast the back window tint..put a trash bag on the outside of the window and use a heat gun and the tint will come off easily no struggles but do it slowly when u take it off. peace

You can actally buy tint removal liquid or you can use soap water with a scotch pad but the pad has to be white, its not abrasive to glass but will get the tint off with not too much struggle. Just make sure that you soap up the window good and have lots of paper towels.

one of the best ways is with a steamer, it leaves no mess and works the best out of anything i have tried.

Google "window tint removal". Many of the sites suggest a warm, soapy mix with ammonia to cut the adhesive.
