Default EGR question

I'm putting on my pacesetter LT's today and realized I don't have an EGR plug. I've got a '98 z28. Can I drive without the plug until I get one? Where can I buy it at? Do they sell them at auto parts stores?

Alright thanks I haven't put them in yet so I'm just gonna head down there now. Will auto zone or o'reilly have it?

Are you talking about a plug for the intake, or for the passenger side header? - or both?

Just whatever it is that needs to be replaced when you put in LT's on a '98-'99 camaro. So probably just the passenger side header.

Take a look at the !EGR part of http://www.ls1camaro.net/sections.ph...ticle&artid=70 Is that what you're doing? You can purchase a plate from a sponsor for the header, or make one - and buy the expansion plug at Autozone.

I'm not removing the whole EGR system so no, I don't need to buy the plate. I didn't even know you could remove the whole thing so thank you for the link. I know what I'm doing now, thanks for all the help and advice.
