Default ANNOYING exhaust rattle!

Cliff's notes: bad/loose passenger side rear exhaust bracket... after over-axel pipe and before the muffler.

I've had this annoying exhaust rattle for the better part of two years now and just recently discovered the solution! (I think). Well, there's this bracket with a rubber piece in the middle where the exhaust hanger connects to on the passenger side in the rear (Figures 1 and 2). The rubber hole was very loose... I was able to replicate the sound that my car made when I drove over bumpy roads by grabbing the tail-pipe and shacking real hard. So I bought a new piece for $20.54 at a local dealer (a few cents cheaper than GMPartsDirect! $12.16 + $10 S/H) and just installed it. I tried shacking everything and no sound at all. Let me tell you... that mother ****** is tight! All I need now is to finish polishing my MAF so I can take it out for a test drive.

Incase you have no idea wtf I'm talking about, I have pics. I tried showing how bent metal on the old bracket is as well as the loose rubber piece...

edit: Part number is 1027-5709.

I had the same problem after installing my GMMG. I made a spacer from some plastic and wedged it in there. I used a hose clamp around the drivers side hangar so the tips would be even on both sides.

JustAnIlluzion, I need the exact same piece. I just installed a MagnaFlow (in place of my Flowmaster) and the driver's side is tight as a frog's *** but the passenger side will shake due to there only being (1) hanger because the intermediate pipe not being hooked up. If you find out that P/N please let me know. Thanks.

Holy **** I haven't been keeping up!!! So sorry guys!

Part number is 1027-5709. That's for the metal thing and rubber piece. I don't know if you can just get the rubber piece.

The sticker on the box...
