06 GTO VS 01 SS, plus srt10 and lightining
Friday night I was cruisin up to the local sonic to get a drink and I ran into these three guys hanging out. One of them was in a SRT-10 Ram I had raced before, I knew he was no threat. He comes over and tells me that his buddies have something for me, so I checked them out and said what the hell.
The SRT has muffler delete, thats all. The Lightining had Full Exhaust, an Intake, a Pulley, and a Programmer. The SS had an Intake, Catback, and Shifter.
We go out to the highway and line up 3 wide, the SS, Me, and the Lightining... the SRT stayed back and tried to keep up. We went from 50-130ish
Three honks and the Lightining started to fade back some, only about 3 1/2 or 4 cars not too bad. I was creeping out on the SS until about 80 and then the LS2 topend started kicking in. All in all I got about 2 on the SS, 4 1/2 on the Lightining, and a couple busses on the SRT.
They were all real cool about the race afterwards, except the SRT guy he was a *****. I just cant wait to hook up the bottle!

Anyway, some people cant drive all that great. May have been the case, but in my experience behind the wheel of both not likely.

Wow, a 12.9 at 106 stock in a srt? Thats amazing. Reminds me of a guy that told me he runs a 12.5 in his stock 03 cobra..........
And on the video, like I said some people just cant drive, and I doubt the truck had just headers. I guarantee it was full exhaust/ intake at least, which makes me ask what happened to a 12.9 stock?
You can bench race all day long man, but I have seen crazy **** happen on the street.

You can call bs all day long I dont care, because were you there?
Plus have you personally drove an 06 GTO or a 05 SRT-10? I know I have, and anyone else that has can tell you the truck doesnt stand a chance in hell.
Anyone in the Augusta, Georgia area with a stock or catback only SRT-10 that wants to prove me wrong put your money up. A 50-135 roll you name the price.

They are clearly not on par with a GTO, stock for stock. Too much weight.
