Default 06 GTO VS 01 SS, plus srt10 and lightining

Friday night I was cruisin up to the local sonic to get a drink and I ran into these three guys hanging out. One of them was in a SRT-10 Ram I had raced before, I knew he was no threat. He comes over and tells me that his buddies have something for me, so I checked them out and said what the hell.
The SRT has muffler delete, thats all. The Lightining had Full Exhaust, an Intake, a Pulley, and a Programmer. The SS had an Intake, Catback, and Shifter.
We go out to the highway and line up 3 wide, the SS, Me, and the Lightining... the SRT stayed back and tried to keep up. We went from 50-130ish

Three honks and the Lightining started to fade back some, only about 3 1/2 or 4 cars not too bad. I was creeping out on the SS until about 80 and then the LS2 topend started kicking in. All in all I got about 2 on the SS, 4 1/2 on the Lightining, and a couple busses on the SRT.

They were all real cool about the race afterwards, except the SRT guy he was a *****. I just cant wait to hook up the bottle!

Maybe I read your sig wrong, but do you have the NO@2 installed yet? the GTO is barely quicker.....barley than the SRT pickup, not sure how youre putting buselengths on him.

The SS probably would have got me from a dig, I have to baby it out of the hole to save from crazy wheelhop. I hate IRS so far, maybe im just used to my Z28 on DR's.

Not installed yet, and from 50-130ish it wasnt close. Trust me I know about SRT-10 rams, my dad has one. Look in the multimedia section to see him racing a 04 GTO with Cam, full exhaust, and 100 shot.

Anyway, some people cant drive all that great. May have been the case, but in my experience behind the wheel of both not likely.

Hmm...they are better from a roll too, that why I was scratching my head, from a dig, they have traction problems. but, yes the standard cab SRT is a 13 second truck all day long.

they were going from a roll, how would it matter if the srt10 was a 13's truck all day long or not??? they don't trap at 108-109mph in stock trim

Wow, a 12.9 at 106 stock in a srt? Thats amazing. Reminds me of a guy that told me he runs a 12.5 in his stock 03 cobra..........

And on the video, like I said some people just cant drive, and I doubt the truck had just headers. I guarantee it was full exhaust/ intake at least, which makes me ask what happened to a 12.9 stock?

You can bench race all day long man, but I have seen crazy **** happen on the street.

Well that big list of specs you threw out there was bench racing, anyways beyond the point.

You can call bs all day long I dont care, because were you there?
Plus have you personally drove an 06 GTO or a 05 SRT-10? I know I have, and anyone else that has can tell you the truck doesnt stand a chance in hell.
Anyone in the Augusta, Georgia area with a stock or catback only SRT-10 that wants to prove me wrong put your money up. A 50-135 roll you name the price.

They just tested an SRT-10 Ram versus a Viper in Motor Trend. It ran a 13.5 sec. pass at 105 mph. Here's another article with Motor Trend testing one:
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ecs_price.html

They are clearly not on par with a GTO, stock for stock. Too much weight.

lmao haha SRT rams do NOT run 12.9's......and FYI the LS2 M6 GTO's run 13.0-13.1 all day.....I have raced a stock SRT 10 truck and I put 4-5 cars on him from a 30mph roll in my A4 01' Formula and all I have is lt's, ory, LM catback, free mods, and lid....
