Street Racing & Kill Stories - Z28 vs Prelude

Well I was driving through town the other day and was waiting at a stoplight when a mid 90s primer colored prelude beside me in the turning lane motions for me to pull into this gas station. Well I get there and he starts asking if I want to race for some cash. Well now I am a little suspicious that this kid in his honda prelude is asking an ls1 Camaro to race so I ask him to pop his hood...of course he won't. So he keeps trying to convince me so we decide to just run for fun. We go to this fairly abandoned strip of highway and he wants to go from around a 15mph roll. Well we both take off and I immediately start to pull on him ended up backing off at around 100 with around 8 carlengths between us. We pull over to talk and he says "what's in that thing, you got naawwzz or something yo?" I tell him no it's basically stock so he asks me to pop my hood. He looks in there only to see that I was telling the truth and I say, it's an LS1. Well he gets this look on his face and says "damn I'll have to remember that" haha. Pretty cool guy overall, just thought I'd share this story because I found it fairly humorous.

Lol, if only every guy that challenged you with a car you knew wasn't worth your gas in stock form was that ignorant. Almost as bad as this chick that had never heard of a Camaro before when she asked me what I drive.

At least he was a decent guy about it. And doesn't sound like his car was too too slow if you only got him by 8 cars. That's still faster than my car. :jest:

I would never ask someone to race for money unless I knew what the car could do. Thats just silly. Why can't I find any dumb people like that? :bang:

I mean seriously. Our cars have vette motors in them. It astonishes me when ricers be like "Your car is slow..." :confused:

That's nothing, my friend thought for the longest time my car was a Firebird. It wasn't until he had the guts to ask did he find out what it really was.

Buddy, my STOCK 1988 Monte Carlo SS would stomp on that joke-ass Prelude...and we ALL know how much faster LS1's are than 80's muscle cars! Seriously don't waste your $3.00 a gallon gas! :bang:
