Street Racing & Kill Stories - I got BURNED!

Let me start by saying there is NO suprise that I get burned. But I have never had ANY car pass me as hard as this thing did. I am at a light. There is a loud Z06 next to me. Just for fun I nailed it when it went green. I think he didnt care until he heard my car bark second and decided he would school me. :jest: In my drivers mirror when I look back...I see his headlights jump up like he is highbeaming me...but its just how hard it leaps...I see a haze of smoke for a second, and the loudest exhaust/ whistle I have ever heard out of a Vette screams by me probably as bad as if you were standing on the side of the road and a stock LS1 F-Body Took off and nailed it by you. My car isnt all that fast, but he really made me look like I was parked. Ive been in a Viper and other Corvettes. They would have met a similar fate. This thing was BAD. It was a rush just for the wholy shit factor. :eek2: LOL

Hey don't feel bad, i am avoiding a long time race rival who just purchased an 02 Z. he has sent word through a friend that he is stalking my GTO. The last time i ran my car it ran 12.7 at 109. I have seen stock C5 Z06s run low 12s with average drivers. and this guy can drive. I used to run this guy constantly with my GN and Mustang, but i won't be ready for his Z until the spring. (Heads, CAM, headers, tune, and 100 shot).

It was one of those deals. I knew that I was gonna get stomped on horribly, but I love cars enough that I wanted to see it happen, even at my expense. LOL :jest:

For me it will be a tough call when the new Z28's come out. Wether or not to go with the new Maro or pickup a nice Vette for similar cost. :devil:

Yea and I was thinking, almost any Vette you find is liable to be well taken care of. It doesnt seem that too many Vettes get trashed by their owners. Would you rather an LS1 Vette over an LS2 Camaro?
