I am looking for the same thing. I plan on running 20-25 psi. If someone has a tune they could give out to get us started I would appreciate it.

I'm using a 3 bar SD tune on my car. At 9#s I make between 590-610 and 570-590 at the rear (depends on whose dyno I have ran it on). Recently I had it on its way to 800 and my valves started floating...looks like I will be shopping for some new valve springs.

But the car drives fantastic other then that..it feels like a mild cam 346cid from 0-2200rpms..and then transitions perfectly into boost.

I used the 89 Trans Am 3 bar GM MAP with a pig tail from ls1speed, hooked into a vacuum line from the brake booster.

Did you guys do the tune yourselves that have it working right? Reason why I asking is that there were a lot of people that had some gremlins before HP Tuners released this last version with the 3 BAR. I use a 2 BAR setup and have had no issues but I have steered away from going to a 3 BAR. The sensor is already in the car running the alky and the boost gage.

TIA

I did a 3 bar tune on 96 lb injectors to over 800 rwhp on 93 octane all by my lonsome! I am at 18.5 psi. If you have tuned na N/A it will be a cake walk. The new software is pretty easy to use.

There are no issues with the new software. If you got your update your fine. Even before the new software was out mine was fine in SD. 2001 WS6. Also a + is that is you allready have a SD tune RTT is free to open up on the software.

can someone explain to me how this works? I was under the impression a stock MAP is 1bar...how would I be able to do a 2/3 bar tune with my stock LT1 computer? I plan on running 10psi on the street/14psi at the track on a 76mm

they are talking about hpt turning software, i dont think they have the 3bar option for lt1's.
you replace the stock 1 bar map with a 3 bar unit, then tune with HPT.

I should be going to the 3 bar setup soon also.
