hooker catback
well i've had my hooker catback for about 2 to 3 weeks. it was friday nite and we were going home from the track and we pulled out on the main road and just gave it alittle gas just to hear the catback and let off at 3000. now i dunno if i was just losing my mind but the hooker catback sounds louder now on my car. like a noticible difference. i ran the car 4 times at the track on friday nite. before that i never really beat the car before then with the headers, ORY, and hooker catback until i took it 2 the track. could it just be that it is breaking the muffler in. i've heard of these hooker catbacks going fast and taking craps. i dont think it is i was just wondering if anyone who has a hooker catback noticed the same.
thanks
thanks

Yuck. I 've heard nasty things about hooker as well. too much cackle, poor quality... the whole nine yards. I personally run magnaflow and yeah. no issues with that.

My Hooker is 2 years old now on my daily driver, and it still looks like new. The sound got slightly louder after a few miles, and then has been the same ever since. I havn't had any problems with it, and I think the quality is fine even with the cheap price. I have heard more good things than bad about the Hooker Cat-Back for sure...

I love the way my hooker sounds. I can't say if mine changed much with miles since I did a clutch at the same time I put 500 miles on it before I really laid into it. The only only other car with a hooker cat back I have head has high flow cats soi I can't compare it to mine.

I had serious fitment issues and had to send one back. Ran into more problems with the second one but it was fixable w/ some welding. In the end it was worth the hastle. Sound is perfect on an LT car w/ no cats. All systems will get louder after the first couple hundred miles.

I have had mine for three weeks and did notice an increase in loudness. It went on great and fits very well. The system needed some tightening after about a week. I like the sound a lot - so much that I quit listening to the stereo. I can make it pop a little bit when I let off the gas and hold it in a lower gear. I am very happy with it.
