Default Vic Jr. Intake = hp??

I have a forged 348 with a TTI kit on it. T-67 with a .96 exhaust housing. I was reading a GMHTP mag from a while back and saw where a procharged Black Camaro SS gained around 60rwhp going from a LS6 intake to a GMPP single plan style intake. I have an LS1 intake and was wanting to do the same thing. Honestly, I'm not worried about gaining hp. I would simply do it so that I could make the same hp on 3 pounds less boost, it takes me 17lbs to make 600rwhp now, and also so that I could get more even air/fuel distribution to all cylinders. I'm afraid I'm going to blow cyl. 7 or 8.
I also read on here that the way the coolant flows through the block is what causes those cylinders to blow first. WTF? Anyone wanna chime in there?
Anyway, main question is what kind of driveability could I expect with the new intake. I want stock-like driveability, will I notice anything drastic like massive loss of low-end tq when crusing around? Thanks.

Alot of us doubted that the intake swap alone made there proclaimed 60hp gain..... im running one and its working Just fine....

But like Mightey Mouse said..... his is working fine and he's making almost 1K hp.

You'd be better off moving to a larger turbo thatn dealing with the swap to a carb manifold. That little 67 is working it's *** off to make that kinda power, moving to a larger turbo will gain you some power with less pressure simply from efficiency gains.

A buddy of mine on an Lt1 383 with a F1 picked up 70RWHP throughout the powerband but actually peaked at about the same Hp as the Ported LT1 intake. Midrange is where it is at anyways, lol

The intake will gain nothing by just throwing it on.It wil help the tuning aspect a bit by evening out the airflow into each cylinder.

If Mightymouse had one on his car he would of been posting 1100rwhp graphs, not 1k graphs

Damn that man... put 1k RWHP in your sig.... 5 HP... man nobody give up any room!

Soooo... when ya gonna take her to the track and abuse her?

Oh and back on topic: There are plenty of folks making crazy HP with LS6 manifolds. I just think there is better stuff you can spend your money on.
