I really don't consider it hunting when you have a bunch of deer that had there diet controlled (basically hand fed and raised by protein feeders and clover fields) on an enclosed ranch and then go shoot them.

I've been. Have a sweet Ruger 30-06/Luepold scope. Now I can say I've been.

It isn't much of a sport if you sit in a stand waiting for deer to walk up to the feeder.

Now, if you want to track them that's what men do.

I don't think it's much of a sport at all. How about you go kill them bare handed or something then it maybe a little more fair.

I've never been hog hunting, but I like turkey hunting the best.

hogging is fun, I have deer hunted once (via tracking not feeder shooting. I go dove hunting each year though.

kind of dark pic, but there are some nice deer on the wall at home..

Just so happens my roommates are avid hunters here in WI, they bow hunt, and just about any kind of hunting you can think about. One of them is a tax adermy sp? there is more than 30 deer heads he still has left, several turkey, bob cats, beaver wolfs, and bear. Just amazing to watch how that is done.

i've been getting the itch to try deer hunting some day. i have no clue what i'm doing though, so i'd need to go with people that know how to do it. i dont have a real hunting rifle either, but i do have some military rifles that use deer capeable ammo. the most appropriate ones are probably the M1 garand, K98 mauser, Enfield No4, mosin-nagant 91/30, and a Soviet Dragunov sniper rifle.

Nice bucks, they'll make a helluva shoulder mount. I'm all about sport when it comes to hunting though ... "fair chase" or whatever the hell the big time TV hunters call it now lol.
