I got a spin tech muffler on my Z and i like the sound, quiet at idle and loud, no rasp at full throttle, has a nice throaty sound. beautiful rumble to it.

I agree. I even have a bullet in the I-pipe to quiet it just a tad bit more.

yeah sure, I'll just take your word for it

you got to come with proof buddy, or don't come at all.

Even if it does, I'd glady give up 5-6hp to have an exhaust I like the sound of.

Actually, he's right, atleast partially. The baffling in the muffler will keep it from flowing as well as a flow through design like a bullet or a magnaflow. However I dont think it will be a noticable ammount, and probably well within a dyno's margin of error. Personally, Im with you that losing a few HP is well worth having the perfect exhaust. You can always gain those HP back somewhere else. If youre an all out race car looking to squeeze every last ounce of power, youd be running open headers anyway

well yeah they're going to rob HP over a bullet or an open exhaust

I thought he was comparing it to other chambered mufflers like a Flowmaster.

I don't know of a crossflow muffler out there that flows that well,I whiched to the 5 case flowmaster crossflow and it sounds good just raspy.the it really feels like it flows good to,but a crossflow muffler just isn't a great design.

mufflers rob HP period. point of a muffler is to make it sound good. IMO it should have a deep tone at idle not drone in the car and sound pissed off at WOT spintech does all of this. if you want less HP loss get a cut out or just run open headders.
