Default Heads or 90mm Intake/TB?

I only have enough to buy a 90mm Intake and 90mm TB or a set of Dart/LS6-heads. What I have read about both are the heads should give me 20-35HP and the Intake about 20HP. Is that what everyone is seeing? What should be my next mod?

Get heads The intake will only add power at higher RPMs. The heads will help everywhere. It is all about area under the curve.

Get the TSP 200 intake runner head or the AFR 205s.

I would go Dart 205's all the way, I've seen nothing but impressive numbers with them. That cam is a perfect size for the Darts, so I would suggest saving you money and getting the heads/intake/TB at once and then getting a solid tune. With all of your other mods your car is begging for some heads, you will find a lot of hidden hp with them. I made 443/408 with my Darts and a 90/90 setup. Good Luck

Get the heads, but choose accordingly. Try to find a head with the best flow, but the smallest runner. In most cases, this will rule out the LS6's because they're unported runner is bigger than most aftermarket heads ported runner. For the price range you listed, the Dart 205's look to be what you would want.

LS6 budget ported heads with stock valves. 90% of the performance for less than half the price of the big ticket heads. Get some mid .040 thick gaskets. Port out your TB and if youre feeling saucy and have a decent tuner, hog out your MAF or just run SD to get rid of the restriction. Youll be sittin pretty for not a ton of dough. The added compression will really bump up your low end and make the car much more fun on the street. Think about gears maybe too.

My thoughts exactly. Couldn't have said it better myself.
