Oil could be getting through the rocker bolts if they're not properly sealed. Rings could be worn. How many miles on the motor?

Do a compression test to see if you're getting blowby. If the test checks out and all cylinders are pretty much within the same area of compression and it only smokes at startup, there is only a few ways for oil to get into the cylinder... through the valves, seals, or rocker bolts. One of those isn't sealing properly.

Did you replace the valve seals when you did the cam swap?
Did your engine burn oil before the swap?
