Default Whats New @ Precision Race Components (Pics & Info!)

I finally got a few extra minutes to make a post updating everyone with what's new @ PRC!

First off, the Edelbrock ported castings are coming around really well! We've finished the 200cc program & it is now in full production! Estimated ship times on the 200cc cylinder heads are just a couple of days! You can now purchase the 200cc heads with your choice of 62cc or 59cc chambers!

The new 215cc version of the Edelbrock cylinder head will be finished in the next week or so! This cylinder head will be available with the same size chambers & your choice of 2.02 or 2.04" intake valves. Look for flow data & pics very soon!

We've also updated the LS6 cylinder heads with standard .015" decking to complement the stock valves being sunk .017". This change will get 63cc chambers out of the box with no loss in p/v! You can now upgrade your street stage 1 ls6 head to 2.02 intake valves for no extra charge! We will also now be adding extra welding around the top of the intake runners on the LS6 heads. This extra welding will help to brace the intake runner around the intake rocker. We've seen a few sets of heads that cracked around this area, so even though it's a 1 in 50 occurance, we decided it was better to prevent this from occurring!

Next week we hope to release the all new PRC Street Stage 2.5 5.3l Heads. These cylinder heads will offer 62cc chambers, 2.04" Intake Valves, 1.57 or 1.6" exhaust valves, and your choice of valve springs. The new 5.3l head will feature a 220cc runner for guys wanting a smaller sized runner without paying huge amounts of cash! We're completely pumped about this new cylinder head option. They flow big air & will be an unbelieveable value for guys wanting big power, a smaller runner, small chamber, and great pricing!!
Look for pics and pricing of this cylinder head in about 1 week! Preliminary results from this cylinder head flow well over 310cfm @ .600"! Look for dyno testing compared to several other cylinder heads very soon.

The last thing we're working on is bringing back the PRC ported Dart castings. Dart is supposed to be sending me a brand new pair of their castings with all the new updates to test for oil consumption. If these issues are completely resolved then we will resume production of these cylinder heads!

Here's a few pics for you guys to checkout!

More great things are to come from PRC!

I'm definately up for some guys interested in testing out these new 5.3l 2.5 heads! This is a completely new port from the ground up! It flows much a good chunk better than our previous 5.3l head & still has a nice small runner size!

I would test them, but I don't think I would be that great of a choice, considering I won't regularly drive the car for a long time yet. The 5.3L still just sounds odd to me, and I don't know if I would ever get them because of that. It would make me feel funny.

How much gain to you expect by going with the larger 2.02 intake valve in the stage 1 heads? If I yank them off the car will you revalve them and send them back to me?

I'm running your TSP 224/228 cam 112+1, so it might be interesting for us small cam guys to see the performance gain over stock LS1 heads. I'm up for some testing as I have baseline dyno numbers. Nice looking heads in the pics and a nice looking ride!

Yes this new 5.3l cylinder head is a complete replacement for the old version we offered!

Here's a quick pic of one of the LS6 heads braced around the intake runner! It's basically very similar to the bracing gm does on the gm cnc ported head.

I would be very interested in testing a set of these heads. I just installed your Tourquer V2 cam, pushrods, and PRC dual vp kit along with your Powerbond UD pully among other things. These are in my 04 Zo6. I love that cam!
