Phil thats sounds scary to me. My old 26x10.5x16 et streets worked best between 15-18psi. Any lowwer felt like I was going to wreck. I did'nt like it.
I plan to start the 28's out at 20 and work my way down if need be. But if they are dead hooking, I will leave it there.

When i ran my et streets that low wow what a ride. My stiff sidewall slicks on the other hand get about 11-12 psi
Edit
Running that low a pressure on et streets may make them cup in the middle

26x10x5 10psi cold. 12-12.5 psi hot.
Depending on what size tire you run I'd try adjusting the air pressure first before softening up the rear. 28's will take a bigger hit from the drivetrain than a 26" obviously. You best bet is to get the launch video. What are you trying to improve, 60ft or mph? -Mark

You can try to adjust the pressure to 14-15psi with your current tire size (which is what?) but if you haze the tires either loosen up the front suspension for more transfer and/or stiff up the rear. If either of those don't work add weight in the rear of the car, preferably over the axle. I've seen racers at NMRA and FFW have custom cages where you can rest 25lb workout weights right over the axles. Only down size is added weight so mph may be affected. -Mark

I think they say its for heavier cars.
