Default Alt relo bracket and aftermarket fuel rails?

Anyone have the SmokinHawk bracket and aftermarket rails/ regulator? I got the bracket mounted and the alt. aint even coming close to fitting I have to have the fitting for the return, but tit seems the only way itll fit is without the 90* fitting and NPT adapter.

Its always one thing after another.

You need to use a 90* hose end that has the NPT thread on the end of it. Or a 90* adapter. Your straight adapter then 90* hose end is pushing the turn to far out.

i have the smokinhawk bracket and a set of speed inc rails. I use a 3/8 npt x 6an 90 on the pass side rail. i did have to trim the back of the alternator cover to get it to fit.

After shimming to align the pullies i have plenty of clearance.

I took the black plastic piece off the alt and its the guts that are directly hitting the new fitting..

CPR rails were required on my setup. The FAST rails just wouldn't fit with the relo stock alternator.

wow your alt looks way off to me like the bracket is bent or the alt mounting is warped, could just be the angle of the pics

Might have to make a custom bracket Carl to move the alternator further to passenger side.

I have a bolt in the bottom hole so thats why it looks cocked to one side. The bolt is holding it in place. The bracket isnt bent at all. This sucks too,I needed it running this weekend This is the only thing stopping me.

what rails are those?
thats strange cause i test fitted it on my car with the speed inc rails. somethings up though.
can you tighten that npt thread any tighter to get it closer to the rail?
some have cut the rail a little bit. that would be your best bet on getting it running this week end, cut some off then get the right npt tap (if you need it to push the threads back)

i think i see what you are talking about, the amount of thread not going into the rail correct? do they make a shorter fitting?

They are the Speed Inc rails. The NPT fitting is as tight as I could get it without ripping the rail off the intake. It wont go any farther. I dont think cutting the rail is an option. I have nothing to make a perfect cut with, nor do I have a 3/8 NPT tap. Plus, it doesnt look like I could cut enough off without interfering with the injector.

KH, no shorter fitting. The alt just wont fit.

Would a fitting like this work? Not sure how much extra room you are needing?
