Default Anyone use that self adhesive CF/aluminum stuff?

Well, many of you know my interior parts are being wrapped this week. However, there are some little random bits and pieces that I don't really feel like spending $50 on when I could just as easily use the self adhesive carbon fiber sheets. Ebay has them all over the place. It says it is real carbon fiber with a clear coating on top and a 3m self adhesive strip on the back. They have the exact same thing in brushed aluminum. They have some cf ones specifically for the Camaro sail panels and exterior door handles as well as universal sun visor kits, headliner kits, etc. They actually had some advertised for wrapping import style spoilers and what not (I won't go that far) but it must be pretty durable stuff.

Anyone have any experience with it? Good, bad? Post up

I'd like to see pics as well. How easy is it to shape? Is it like an actual sticker or is it fairly flexible around curves? If that is the case I may be getting a big *** piece intended for a hood and get my backseat and hatch speaker panels covered in that instead of paint. Maybe even the headliner. Pics and more on your experience with it would be great.

Ebay you can get a sheet large enough to cover an entire hood.

Please send the link because all I have seen, and I've been looking at these sheets for quite a while, are sheets that are like 23" X 17" or something along those lines.

Well, it should be quite obvious from the sellers name alone that this isn't real carbon fiber sheet, it's VINYL or decals, same stuff I use to make decals for my fuel rail covers. What I'm talking about is actual carbon fiber sheet with clear resin that is flexible and has 3M adhesive on the back :

This stuff is the REAL deal:

Please don't cover your hood in vinyl!!

No, I am not going to cover my hood with that film I sent a link to. I was planning on wrapping my hatch speaker panels and possibly the rear speaker panels in that stuff. I may order a small bit of that stuff you linked me to to see how it looks. The only material I will be using outside the car is aluminized fiberglass and real carbon fiber.
