Default New Best ET 8.66@140 mph

Well I finally made it to the track and ran a full pass.

60' 1.404
1/8 5.564 130.29 mph
1/4 8.66 141.11 mph

The car feels STRONG!!! I have some tuning to do, suspension. I'm leaving at 1/4 throttle, not wanting to build too much boost. I'm going to hook up the 2 step. The mph is down because I had to hit the brakes before the finish line . The car started to drift so I hit the hooks! I have to strap the front end down, the car is going down the track like a boat, the front end is too high "lifting". I only made three passes before tech caught up with me. 6 point roll bar, fire suit, batt shut off, ect!

I'm happy for the second time at the track. The first time I had the wrong gears and the tires were rubbing. I only got to make 2 passes.

Anyways, thanks again to all the guys a Speed Inc. Tom, Jim, Dan and Larry They are a great bunch of guys to deal with. I'm really happy with the set up!!!! Not only does the kit look good but it GOES .

Special thanks to Jim for putting up with my 10 million questions!

Yea, I was going to run the LS1 shoot out first. I ran last Sunday at Byron, I'm suprised others didn't catch it. I was running clocks on.

Thanks, Andy.

That car is really a runner. It usually takes a long time to put up that kind of number even if the car has the power. I've seen it take a season for some guys before all the stars are aligned (suspension, gear, converter, launch technique, etc.). You must be very happy.

Good god that is awesome . I have looked for some postings on any pictures or stats on your build. Couldn't find any. I know most of the build is in your signature. Mind telling tires/size, rear-end gears, etc? Stock suspension? Why the "H" would you do a build without some of the safety stuff. Look at some of the recent accidents that our turbo cars have had. You have to think of your safety first. I'm not knocking your or your build, I think it is awesome. BUT we want to hear more from you not less.

I would give anthing to run 1 full pass at full boost. Seems like the SS has problems every time - just little things that are driving me crazy.

The weather up in South Dakota finally broke out the sun for the 1st time in a week. Doesn't really matter, our track is closed for the season. If and when we'll have to travel.

Good luck and be damn careful out there.

Nice run. Please put some safety equipment in that car. There is no excuse to be running an 8 second car without it. No one wants to see you hurt because of it. I hope it is on the top of your list of things to do.

Oh p.s. That thing is flying!!! Bottom 8's and 160 mph here you come. Congrats also goes out to Speed Inc I think this really puts them on the map with some of the other big Turbo builders.

Congrats. I've been waiting to see what the car would run. I'd also like any info on the setup that you're willing to give out.
