Got the tires from a friend, around 5K miles on them or so, track passes,
and daily driving here and there.
so, i have put maybe another 1000 miles on or so. no street burnouts and no track passes.
I am washing the car today and notice a few threads on the left tire.
Now I have always noticed that the tread wear seemed odd, not the feathered look ( because i have come to know that happens with the mickey T's ) but just outside of the sidewall its feathered, then smooth ( where the threads are ) and then it gets feathered again.

seems like the left tire is more worn on the outside then the right one.
tires are set at 21 psi.

So, my question is, should i change the psi, or just live with it.
seeing that is is almost october, there wont be alot of more miles driven, and i was planning on buying new ones in the spring time.

any suggestions / comments ??

gav, thats weired that it hasn't flattened out the grooves but the cords are starting to show. normally (like my nitto's) that starts in the middle, the sides always have plenty of meat.

Have you had your car aligned lately. If you havent you might try that. My brother had the same problem and that fixed it.

it was aligned a few years ago, but i never noticed any odd wearing of the other tires i have had on the car

An alignment should have nothing to do with REAR tires on a solid rear axle car wearing oddly . . .

Looks like the tire pressure was off on possibly the low side, and or a wierd construction issue with the tire rearing its ugly head.
