Default Turndowns on a T/A Stupid or not?

I am seriously considering running a dumped TD system on my T/A. Thing is, unlike camaros, our birds have those notches on the back bumper for the dual exhaust

I want to run my exhaust exactly like this guy

http://video.ls1tech.com/search/1+ch...23013fd6b8.htm

but im wondering if it looks stupid without the tips poking through the back.

BTW, this guy has the exhaust I want, LTs, h-pipe and dumped before the axle

I don't think it will look stupid. I think it looks worse on my Formula because now it REALLY looks like a V6. Do it, dumps sound GREAT!

I don't think that it would look right IMO. That's what made my choice on the GMMG. Sound is great! But if I had a Camaro or a Formula, I'd be all about the duals dumped. Or, another idea I've thought about, would be dumping the exhaust before the axle, and leaving some stock crusty tips in rear bumper cutouts for a sleeper look. Might be kinda weird when there is no sound coming out of them though.

Although in all honesty, I think you could pull it off on a Trans Am if it is BLACK or if you have the CETA mod on your car. Being so dark around the cutouts might help the lack of exhaust tips.

Its not black, its cayenne red and the CETA mod is definitely on the list, like, soon. I thought about cutting off the exhaust and just having the tips hanging too but it sounds kind of ghetto lol.

If you want to run dumps or turndowns, you should have bought a Camaro or Formula.

I'll tell you what.... drive over to Florida and I'll let you hear my dumped TDs, and I'm sure you won't give a **** about how the rear bumper will look after hearing them in person . And if it bothers you THAT much.... just bring em' out the back like ICRAZY6 said. I'm changing my Formula to a Trans Am soon and I'll have the T/A bumper with TDs... won't bother me a bit. I'm sure there are a bunch of guys on LS1tech that have dumped TDs on their T/As... if you are one of these people, post some pics !

I don't think it looks bad, but tips do look a lot better. The fix? Run it out the back like it was already mentioned.

I dont think it would necessarily look stupid, but the tail does look odd without the tailpipes coming out. I think I would go with a GMMG

I have it, and even though there is something missing, people always go nuts knowing that i have dumped exhaust. They love it. I get so many compliments on the sound of the car, that i dont care about the missing tips anymore.

I have my exhaust dumped and wouldnt have it any other way. I think it actually looks pretty mean. Makes people who have no idea about cars wonder what the hell happened and when you start it up they jump out of their pants.
