To Sell? Or Not To Sell?
I have a delima..I have a chance to get a sweet deal on a new house being built...I thought of trading for another f-body and some cash, or just selling out right..Problem is I just dropped 15k into a new motor that I know I can't re-coupe..I have an extra ls1 motor, new ls1 stock crank, and a new 6.0 lq9 block...Which ever route I go, all is going with the car...here is a link to a few of the pics..I can send more...Motor is a LME 408 with nothing spared on parts...motor is what's in sig....All imput is deeply appreciated....

your never going to get what you already spend on the car.. let alone what you just spend on the engine itself.. damn it sux but i would sell the car and get the house in the end the house will get you equity and the car will only get you more bills lol.

Actually, the power is in the norm compaired to other 408's...mine was on a mustang 1750...dyno jet around 550/500....my 2 cents...very true on not getting what I want for the car...I can get the house without selling the car,,, makes me feel better about trying to sell the car....

Seriously if its between the house and the car that's a really easy decision. Houses hold their value and usually appreciate while f-bodies don't, plus there's just something about having your own place. To me an apartment is never actually home.

if you can get a sweet deal on this house your talking about, then go with the house, . . there will always be a chance to rebuild your car, . . there aren't that many chances on houses, . . . . . . my parents bought a house for around 175k and that property value jumped to around 300k, because my neighborhood is coming up . . . . of course these LS1tech guys would say keep the car! i think you'll be pissed at yourself if you keep the car, . . . don't worry, . . . . . . . . the 408 could wait

If this was my predicament?
I would remove the 408. Put the original LS1 you said you have back into it then sell it like that. Keep the 408 for a project later on. OR part out your 408. Chances are you'd get more than selling it in the car to some guy who's never had a camaro. He will still think it's fast as hell. My $.02
