not sure if there are any guys on here that do interiors. at this point, I just do exterior work .. (no more engine bays or interiors)
if you have a good wet vac, no reason you can't do it yourself .. if you are so inclined.. t isn't that hard, and a pickup is pretty easy to do , especially if you are doing the seats.
if you get it done professionally, I would not expect it to cost more than $75 bucks ..

- good auto, or other carpet shampoo
- good spot remover (resolve, or other .. Meg's makes one also ..

- bucket for soapy water
- bucket for clean, rinse water
I will mix the carpet shampoo per the instructions for a gallon of water, then add 2 tablespoons of baking soda to the mix ..
run the dry bursh over all the car;et, then vacum very well, prior to using anything wet..
spot clean as needed for the heavier areas, using the spot remover/cleaner, the brush and a terry cloth towel ..
then dip the brush in the shampoo bucket, and use the brush over all the carpet, followed immediately by the wet vac, to keep it from soaking in ..
once one area of the carpet is cleaned, (driver's side, then passenger side, etc) I will then rinse the brush out, then do the same process with the clean, rinse water .. then run a clean white terry cloth over the area, to check for cleanliness .. re scrub/rinse as necessary .. most of the time, you should be able to get things pretty wet without getting it too wet .. just make sure you allow it to dry totally prior to closing it up, so it doesn't mildew.
if you are trying tp clean up spots that are deeper than surface dirt, you will need to use more water..
