Default Test drove a 01SS today have some questions.

I test drove a 01Ram air TA last week and a 01SS today I could of swore the ram air felt a lil faster. The SS was pretty quick tho once i got on it and I didnt get to get on the ram air much but it just felt like it had a little better throttle response and take off from slower speeds. Anyone possibly know why the Ram air was stock with 36k miles and the SS was stock with 26k miles and a loud mouth exhaust.

It's all the same parts under both hoods. Some cars are factory freaks, but when buying a car, get the one that is nicest. I wouldn't buy a crappier car because it felt a little better.

Another thing is 26k to 36k is quite a jump in the "break in" period. It may be that the TA was a little more worn in.

Ram Air has no effect until higher speeds (i.e. not 50mph). It is most likely in your head, same kind of thing that ricers deal with when they are racing an SUV, they think there cars are faster than they are.

I agree with everything you said 100%. But its a camAro not a camEro. Im not trying to flame you or anything but it just seems as though you know a decent amount about ls1 motors according to your sig so you should at least be able to spell camaro correctly......sorry for the run-on sentence guys.

Ls6 block has nothing to do with how fast the car is.
