PurEvl track times
Took Mikes car to Camaro/Firebird shootout up here at NED. We put in some new plugs, set boost to 12 psi and mounted some ET street's 16/10.5's that were laying around.
Made 3 runs with the best of
1.71 60' -sideways across the 60' mark.
10.5 at 142mph. -I went into the other lane on the shutdown
weight 3880lbs
The car was all over the track due to the small tire spinning the length(mph gauge was bouncing good) and street suspension setup.I almost did a Mighty mouse a few times which I thought the shorts would have to be changed
Not bad,I was very happy with the car for just throwing tires on it and racing. I suppose a nice Hooser and suspension would help out a ton,but who cares. We raced it in street trim ,then Mike drove it home getting 23mpg

Too dangerous for a 4L80 in the car.It is 99% street so the 6sp is easier to handle when it gets out of control.
Mine will get the Glide with a close engine Combo

Terrance Makes about 500 more rwhp and his just hooks and goes on the street with the 80E.
Your car should fly with that setup and a glide.
My friend called me from the track and said" Man there is one of them ls1 Camaro's up here that's got a six speed in it and it's flying it ran over 140 mph".He also said that "you would never expect the car to run like it does".
Know I know who he was talking about.
He had the red 69 Mustang that was running 8.60s @160. It was his first time out with it.

Believe me i have thought about the 4l80e...and if it was ever to become a track car, that is how i would do it.
If we go again....140 will be slow

nice to see some track numbers...
I guess the trans/streetcar thing is all perspective bcuz i dont see how a 4l80e/turbo-408 car cannot be a decent streetcar. Stall would be low, rpm's wouldn't be that nasty when driving around town and you'd still have the od for the gas issue.
Anyways, awesome!! What tire pressure were ya'll running those et-streets?
