I am building a 6.0 all forged bottom end and some very nice heads. it is gonna be a nitrous motor prolly around a 150 or 200 shot. What are the best injectors to go with and what fuel pressure whould I be running? thanks in advance to all that can help me.

What kind of nitrous system are you plannign on running? If you're gonna run a wet kit with a standalone, you're fuel system won't need anywhere near the capacity. If it's a wet kit running off teh main tank, I'd think 60 psi would be good. Ford green top 42's are good for quite a bit of power, unless you're planning on running a 200 dry shot I think you'd be fine, if it is a 200 dry shot you are planning on running, you may want to think about going a little bigger.... just to be safe. Just make sure you fuel pump is up to the task.

I am running the TNT F2 kit with the fuel flowing from the main tank. do you think the 42's will be o.k.?

yes they will be fine.. just make sure you have a good fuel pump that will keep up when you hit the nitrous. A racetronix kit with the hotwire setup would probably be a good move.. you can always add a boostapump to the hotwire setup later if you need a little more.

i went with the SVO 42's for the 403 that is going in my car. i wanted to be able to spray 125 shot later on. since i have a 03-04 Z06 which is limited to a boost a pump as the only upgrade i wanted to make sure i had enough injector. i was told that it would be easier to trim out fuel than to add and max the injector out. i could have got by with SVO 30# NA only but i think those would have been on the edge of max out with just motor.

I put 42 lb ford green tops on my 402, and will be spraying at least a 125 hit on it thru a NOS wet plate kit next year. I'm running a racetronix kit, and I do plan to put a fuel pressure guage in teh car to monitor the pressure, if I see any dip at teh hit I will be adding a boostapump to the hotwire immediately.. I may just add it to be safe when teh kit goes on the car.

how much does the boost-a -pumps actually help ? i've been debating what i'll need to change when i get my 408 up and going and want to spray a 150 shot and hopefully break the 650 rw goal i have set but i don't want to add a stand alone but i think the single 255 racetronix p-n-p may be maxed at that level.i know a boost-a pump is supposed to help but how much ?

Supposedly, according to racetronix, the pump is supposed to be good for 600 rwhp, and with a boostapump, it's supposed to be good for 700 rwhp.

I guess alot of it has to do with the car.. if you're looking for 650 rwhp thru a M6 setup, then I think with a boostapump it will be fine, if you're looking for 650 rwhp thru an unlocked auto.. then no it's not enough.

From my experience, I think you'll be monitoring a certain amount of dip no matter what, because with my stock fuel pump, but also a stock internal engine, I get about a 6 psi decrease in rail pressure at WOT (drops to 52 from 58). I'm pretty sure that kinda dip is normal, so I'd at least expect that - hopefully that will keep you from spending money on a boost-a-pump if you don't really need it.

Believe me.. if I see a fuel pressure dip fo say more then 1 to 2 psi.. I'll be adding that boostapump.. especially if I start spraying any serious amount thru the place kit. If that doesn't solve it... I'll be going strait to a standalone.

Welp, the 6 psi drop on mine seems repeatable (as in it does it every time). As long as you can predict it, I wouldn't think it would be a problem.

Forget the 42's, bite the bullett and go for the 60's, not for reliability but for room to grow. Im stuck with my 42's and now I need 60's. I hate paying for the same thing twice. Just my 02. I've got a pro-charger and no more boost until I purchase some 60's sniff, sniff.
