Default AC don't work, how bout a shorter belt?

Since my AC doesn't work anyway, would it be possible to buy a shorter belt, and put it on, still leaving the AC pulley on?(I want it to work eventually). How much of a difference do you think I could see from this?

Yea, a shorter belt is not needed unless you get an Under-drive Pulley. I completely removed my AC, you can get the Delete Pulley at GM.

Hmm, my friend has a 91 mustang, and he got a shorter belt, and bypassed 2-3 pullies. (power steering, ac, and maybe something, else.. ). somethin like that possible?

The belt routing won't work if you remove the AC Pulley....take a look at it, and you will see why.

Its getting colder, so you won't need AC, but pray to God that compressor doesn't lock up.
