LS1 V.S. hyundai tiburon
So i had just droped my dad off from having lunch with him. I was headed up to campus. There was a tiburon off to my back left side at this light. I took off slow looking for somthing on the raido when i notice this guy starts to throw some revs at me. i thought well i have some time to kill ill play with him. so i put in in 2nd ride it up to 3 grand and stomp on it. It broke loose a lilttle bit. I put about 10 buses on him. Im pretty sure he gave up really soon though i dont think my cars that fast. Well he pulls up next to me on my right side. He puts down his window and says "befor we start i just wanna say i know i dont have a chance but if you dont mind im gonna try and im gonne be honest i really just wanna see that thing gooooo" i said "alright man ill run it up through 2nd for ya hows that?" " he looked like a kid on x-mas moarning" so the light turned green he punched it i slipped the clutch out and waitted till i got a good hook. I did not want to race him and end up in the ditch or swaping paint with him. so i took it to 4500 in 1st and 4 in 2nd this time put 20 or more buses on him. HE came by with a grin from ear to ear. i gave him the thumbs up nice kid. idk if its a kill or not but i dont feel like studying so i thought i would share.

Tibbies are not by any definition fast. He just wanted to see ya go. Good on ya for giving him the jollies. However, there is one late model Tibbie V6 GT I know of with an SC on it owned by an older guy. I don't know how good it runs but I thought it was pretty cool.

cool gesture from a ricer w/ sense. Little does he know (parents probably made him get a slow car), he coulda got a 98-02 LS1 for close to the same I imagine. Hell even a Mustang.

I love people like that! It makes their day and it makes my day to show them what the car can do! I used to have a GTI and loved to see muscle cars get on it. I was a lil better competition than a hyundai but still no match for an ls1.......i did take my share of lt1's and 5.0's though

i remember one time i was letting my cousin DD (designated driver) for me and this *** hole in one of those cars was riding our asses and all of a sudden he comes up to our right at a stop sign. and who woulda guessed.. instead of turning right he tried to jet out infront of us, my cousin musta gave it like 80% throttle and we just went right by him. poor little thing was revving up like there was no tommorow but it just wasnt moving too fast

That guy seems cool, nice that he knew he didnt stand a chance. I raced a buddy who has a new tiburon and put buses on him as well, after the race he stopped and talked with me, and the first things out of his mouth was, "holy **** that thing is fast, you raped me so bad" and then of course I actually asked if he raced because when I was racing him it seemed like he wasnt trying or anything, but sure enough he was going all out and said it was completely embarassing for him lol. It's always fun to show slower cars how slow there car really is!

Very cool. Dont be surprised to see that guy with something a bit meaner in the near future
I know of one fast Tibby. It had a 4G63 powering the front wheels and a 4G63 powering the rear wheels both running on meth. I have no idea how the controlls work and frankly Im not sure I want to be anywhere near that thing when its moving

There's one (previous gen with turbo conversion) runs at out local track and put down a best of 12.67@112.9 on drag radials - he's got a LOT of work into it, but it's cool to see something different run like that.
