How about The TCI converters?
Hey guys anyone with a tci converter in there 4l60e if you have a second let me know what you think of it.
I'm looking at going with a 3000 stall for my daily driver.

I had one installed on my own car (1995 Impala SS turbo) and it caused a lot of vibration which took me quite some time to figure out from where it was coming from.
Two months ago I installed one in a friends 700r4 and we again had suddenly heavy vibration from 2500rpm and up. Since we checked everything we just for the heck changed back to the stock converter and all vibration was gone. May be we have been just unlucky or converter had been dropped during shipment (however JEGS packs parts pretty good usually) but for me it has sort of tainted their image.
We bought another B&M and that was fine from day one.
I am leaning towards Vigilante or Coan for the real heavy stuff

I have had my tci streetfighter(3000 stall) for about 2 months now...and I love it! No problems, barely lost any gas mileage, no more dead spots, launches great, etc...
The gas mileage is all about if you are able to keep you foot out of it. It drives pretty much normal, imo. When you take off from a light it is almost like it was before under light throttle, except now if you mash it you are going to straight up blast across the intersection!

I love my TCI 3500. Tight as hell as far as I'm concerned and I am pulling low 1.7 60' at the track.
I would not even think twice about getting a 3500/3600 for a daily driver.

3200 stall speed and it's supposed to be more efficient then previous TCI converters. The higher STR will make the car tighter and give you max performance at the track.

Saw a LS1 WS6 at the track last week and the car had a 2500TCI converter in it on mickey Drag radials and was only cutting a 2.0 60ft and trapping at 99mph(13.7).The car had also had a B/M shift kit. Thought it would be cuting better 60fts,Is it because its only a 2500 stall.Also the trap speed seem to be pretty low too the car had no tune and the stall was just put in that day.

TCI 2600, very happy with it, feels like the stock one but off the line its much better.
did 1.8 60' a few weeks back launching at Idle, going with a bigger one soon, def a TCI.

I had a TCI breakaway with vibration issues but TCI was more than willing to address the issue and do what ever necessary. Im sending my old breakaway back and upgrading this week actually. Other than the unfortunate vibrating issues the TC worked great and TCI was very very reasonable to work things out with. I would say go with it.

I have had my TCI SSF 4000 for almost 3 years with no problems at all. Great 60ft times at the track and works well on the street. For a daily driver I would go with a 3000-3500 stall.
