truck intake manifold

Yeah but better low end means less top end. The truck intake will PEAK too early for a LS1 and you'll loose performance. A stock LS1 makes 90% of it's torque by 1500rpm so why try and get more?

If you do a lot of towing then yeah it would work well. And if you never ever go above 4000rpm then it would make sense. Although if you drive like this then one would have to question why you own a modified muscle car in the first place
As it stands the LS1 is the most torquey low end motor as fitted to any Fbody in the past 25 years. At 1500rpm the Ls1 makes more torque than an LT1 makes at PEAK!!!!!! That's over 325lb ft.
If you really want a hike in low end grunt then the best option is pricey. A PD blower such as a Eaton or a twin screw is the only sensible solution.
