Default Pacesetters...

What do pacesetters sound mean/good with ? what kind of exhuast? I'm stuck between getting these or hooker Lt's.. If I go with the Hookers I will have to wait an extra month or so to get the exhaust at the same time. Pacesetter Lt's are 3/8's right?

They are 1 3/4 I believe, if that's what you're referring to. I have the Pacesetter LTs, TSP catted Y, and SLP loudmouth. Save for the cats, that's about as loud as you can get without using a cutout. The loudmouth is nothing more then a completely hollow tube with no flow restriction. Get the pacesetters, you'll save over 300 that you can put towards something else.

I'm very happy with my magnaflow and pacesetter combo. The magnaflow was very quiet with stock manifolds but the LT's made it sound great at WOT. Still tame at idle too.

I'm wondering how much a cam would change the behavior of the magnaflow+lt's

3/8" flanges, yes.any lt will sound good with about any exhaust,it is just how much rasp you can live with.for deep sound you can't beat a 3" true dual dumped but as expected most will have increased interior sound.hit up ls1sounds for some soundclips.
