OK, so I can see I am hitting my bump stops in the rear on launches. What can I do to prevent this and get a better 60' maybe? Do I need shocks or springs? I have stock peices right now.

Start with a good set of dbl adj shocks, and tune from there.

I would start with some LCA lowering brackets first....you're squatting....drop the front of the LCA to the lower hole and watch the difference a little anti-squat makes.

I already did that. Have been for years. Still squats. Guess I should have mentioned what is done already. LCAs, LCA brackets, fixed* TA, !front sway bar. All else stock for suspension. It only pops the driver tire on good launches. Which is good I guess. But it just squats too hard.

If you don't want to spend the $$ for a set of adj shocks, at least try some new, hi quality, stock type shocks.. 4 yr old stockers were virtually junk, when new.

Well this is my question, do I need shocks? Will shocks stop the squat? It is not a money issue yet, just need to know what needs to be done to stop squat. Right now I am looking into QA1s and Competition Engineering units. Do I NEED fronts? What are the bennefits to fronts? The suspension drops fine although when I brake the nose dives pretty hard so I know I need them eventually. Thanks for all the input so far. Please keep it coming.

if you dont wanna spend the money on a set of Qa1's just get the CE's they're pretty cheap

buy some QA1 shocks or the CE shocks if your a cheap ***... if that doesnt stop the squat put a air bag in the right rear spring or buy an anti roll bar for the rear..

Im confused why this is happening to you. I am leaving the line with the front wheels a foot or more in the air, so all the weight is on my rear shocks/springs and I am not bottoming out. I have my stock shocks and springs that came with the car in 2001 with 65K Miles on them. Never changed them. Are you lowerd? Yeah your car is 360lbs, maybe its a bit too heavy for the rear springs to handle all the weight? I would think that some new OEM Shocks andf springs should be able to handle the weight transfer.

get a set of adjustable shocks all the way around qa1 will work fine.
you can adjust the shocks for the squat, but you want the car to have weight transfer so that you can get a good 60ft, we ran 6 turns in the front and 3 in the rear with the qa1s and where going 1.28 60fts [we cut the bump stops out]

The 9" hits the floor so I do not want to cut-out the stops. I have pretty good weight transfer. I pull one tire and still bottom the rear suspension at 3600lbs+. I have launch pics that show the transfer. I have cut a 1.51 60' so far. I watched a vid of my car and you can see the car come down, then bounce up and come back down.

The cheapest and smartest thing to do is remove the bump stops....doh!

Then take a BFH and clearance the body where the 9" hits...The car needs to sit on top of the tires...let it squat. shocks will only control soo much.

you don't want the rear to squat. some adjustable rear shocks will fix it.
mine stays flat when the rears are on 5(5way) but look at my sig with then set on 2

cars that came with 17's have an aluminum spacer under the jounce bumper. you can remove it.
I haven't seen a non lowered car hit them though

Just a Z28 so no spacer. The only lowerring done was removed the spring perches with hose.
