Default which intake do i need

Hey guys, need some help. I have an '04 Tahoe with a 5.3. I want to put the fast 90mm intake on it, but I'm not sure if it will bolt up. It is a GENIII engine so you would think that all ls1 parts would bolt up to it. I have people telling me that it's like FORD and that the parts are just barely different from the ls1 to everything else. This is gonna go on my patrol truck, me being a cop, cause I'm tired of taking 1.5 miles to catch someone. Let me know what ya'll know. Thanks.

why are you doing the fast 90? unless you have aftermarket heads you won't really reap all the benefits

i agree it is like putting a holley dominator on a six cylinder. it will just run worse.

well i'm about to take it to lgmotorsports for apr heads and a custom cam, lifters, rods and springs. the best set of headers i found are shortys by gibson. i keep getting told they don't make long tubes for my truck.

sure do, there's nothing like being comfortable while at work. it's unmarked. i have leather seats w/heaters, onstar, 6 disc cd player, and xm radio. i also have a gibson ss 3" race muffler on it with stock exit. other suv's i can catch and keep up with even without the program(cause it's not done yet). the truck will scoot, but the tourque management is killing me.

ah you left that part out. interesting too because i may use the larger MAF of of a 04 5.3 truck due to its larger diameter. Call f.a.s.t. and ask them, thats what i would do first.

I run 12's w/ the truck intake and stock throttle body, that intake won't be a bottleneck on a stock motor. Get some long tubes and a tune. There is alot of power locked away in the electronic throttle. Futral is getting anywhere from 40-60 RWHP just tuning electronic throttle controlled trucks.
