Front license plate cover...did if fall off or get stolen?? My front license plate cover is MISSING!!! I washed the car two days ago and I know it was there then, I would think I would have noticed it if it was loose. But when I got home from work this morning it was gone. I haven't hit anything or scrubbed anywhere at all! Could it have gotten sick of my driving and fell out??? OR did somebody else need it more than they thought I did?

They don't just fall off.
I've had mine on the car off/on for a couple years with no screws holding it on.
It requires some pull to get it off the car even with the screws out of it.
My bet, someone stole it.
You can find replacements sometimes in the for sale forum, a lot of times on eBay. You can go to the GM dealer & order a new one, but it'll cost ya a lot more.
What color do ya need? Maybe someone will come by here & offer one up?

99% chance stolen Most likely stolen I'm sorry to say. I read elsewhere that they are pretty expensive from the dealer and that they come without paint so you would have to match up the color. You can see why it would be a theft item. Someone was probably scoping you out locally. Probably not too many suspects out there with the same color car as yours. Sorry to hear.

It's ANOTHER black trans am. so there really are a few suspects. But man I hate that. Why would anybody steal? I did find the part number on here and went to gmpartsdirect and it is $5x.xx. But I'm guessing unpainted. It probably got swiped when I was on campus the other night. University of Alabama. Southern hospitality right

Time to raise a thread from the dead...
After going 8 months without that piece... Somebody tried to cross the road in front of me then realized they weren't going to make it, so they stop sideways in the middle of 3 lanes of traffic. And naturally she got hit... by me...
But at least i have a new bumper and a filler panel

You can order it from www.gmpartsdirect.com....about $60 unpainted.
You can order matched paint in a spray can with primer and clearcoat about $35 or so.
Basically if you can paint you can replace it for about $100.

You probably aren't, but the woman that tried to cross the road in front of me definitely qualifies as a stupid woman driver!! Who else would stop in front of oncoming traffic except someone that's mentally retarded?
