Clean Your Tires Too!!
Just came to me after reading the tire shine thread.
I see a handfull of people that wash theier car, spit shine their wheels and then slap some 'Black Magic' or whatever on thier dirty, grimy tires. It buggs the hell out of me!!
I use Eagle One All Wheel and Tire Cleaner. It works great. Even if you don't think your tires/wheels are dirty. Just spray it down, Scrub and rinse. Watch all that black/brown crap float right off.
CLEAN your tires and THEN add the shine! I've seen people at car shows applying shine to dirty tires and it looks worse than it would if you had never applied the stuff at all!

Yep, that is a good suggestion. Eagle One All Wheel and Tire works really well, but I wouldn't use it at every wash - maybe once every month or two. The rest of the time, soap and water will do.

^ Yeah. I have a small wheel brush I use. I spray the wheel and tire down, scrub and hose off. all that bcap just floats away. A bottle of Eagle on All Wheel and Tire cleaner only last me about 2.5 washes . . maybe three.
The Stoner I think is pertolium based. It kind of smells like air duster and propane. I'll have to read up on what is in there. Ran out two weeks ago and the places here quit carrying the stuff.

Another vote for the wesley's bleche white. I usually wipe the tire with the soap and water i used on the car and wash the wheels at the same time. Then I go back and use the bleche white, spray on, scrub, hose off. Sometimes I won't do the bleche white if the car hasn't gotten real dirty since the last wash or if it's just a quick wash.

Be careful with the Bleche White...that stuff will etch your nice polished aluminum rims! it's great on tires but it's hell on wheels! I use Eagle One All Wheel cleaner EVERY wash on both the wheels and tires. I spray the tire and wheel, scrub the tire with a nylon brush then clean the wheel with the wash mitt and rinse. Most of the time I don't put tire shine on but if I do I use the gel stuff. I'm currently using the Armor All gel since i couldn't find the Meguires stuff. I think I like the Armor All stuff better. It goes on better and lasts longer and crap doesn't stick to it like the Meguiars stuff.
