Did you buy the fancy $110 water neck? Or did you mod a stock one? I took the guts out of a stocker like it says to do in the instructions, but... it doesn't say much else. It looks like I'll have to cut the two ears off of the stock one. The other thing that concerned me, there's no lip on the pump or the t-stat housing. It must be a bitch to get it centered so it doesn't leak.
Pictures, etc. would be a big help. I'm sure if I mess with it long enough I could sort it out... but I'd rather see some pictures/hear from those who have done this.

you mean a mezeir ls1 pump? if so- yes the stocker will work , theres no lining up you need to do... the bolts will do that for you, and the o ring makes a good seal with the outer surface of the pump...

I re-used the stock piece, its down far enough in the bay, almost impossible to notice it either way. When doing some winter upgrades this year, I might just sand & paint the stock neck.

Thanks for the info. Found one at O'reilly last night. Went to AutoZone and the 330-160 number was recalled so they didn't have it, went to the Irish people and ran that PN and it came up with one for about 6 bucks. For anyone else looking, an SBC thermo part number for a 160 degree is 330-160 or 15356
