Well? Which do you think? The stock shortblock and transmission has 24000 miles on it, but the transmission fluid never sees over 200 degrees. Apparently it isn't getting heatsoaked from the motor since it's in the rear of the car (that's my guess, anyway )
Everything works great and the transmission programmed for more line pressure, but has no internal shift kit or any other mods.

I'm not gonna vote yet until you answer the question above...seems like the 4L60Es don't like RPMs, so that's what usually kills them. If you aren't turning much over the stock redline, I'd say that your shortblock will be the first to go...the #7 piston most likely.

What's your mods? I think tranny even without knowing, unless your tryn to do the shortblock in. I mean people upgrade rears, trannys, clutches, but the shortblock usually goes on untouched for the most part besides the modding for more power, and it was the trans, clutch, rear, etc, that couldn't handle it, not the engine.

How about both....
I blew up both at the same exact time.
My trany started to slip on the dyno so we pulled it off
As im pulling up to my house (With a sliping trans) Boom! I throw a rod
