I think your thiking of the m29 out of the 93 with the .68 6th gear.

It's like a m12 from the z06 with a slightly lower 6th gear

yes, they only came in 93's and early production 94's

I have one that was rebuilt recently and has only a few miles on it since then. It was out of a 97 SS fwiw. I bought it for my 67 Camaro when I was going to do a LT1, but went a different direction since then. Its for sale for $1000 plus shipping, not sure what that would cost though.
