So is it just me or do you guys get pissed off when the city decides to water the damn streets more than the grass. It seems like everytime I finish detailing the car and go for a cruise on a nice DRY day every road I drive on is wet with puddles everywhere from the city sprinklers aimed more towards the street than the grass. And If I try to drive slow through them some *** comes flying by and splashes it all over me anyway! Sorry for going on but im really irritated by this today!

I know exactly what you mean. It was really bad for a while, there were a couple roads that were completely wet and we're supposed to be in water conservation....yeah right.

Can't stop the city or people from watering the street. You can do the following.

Roll around with a bottle of quick detailer and 2 microfiber towels.

Saved my sanity many times.

Build up on the wax!

I couldn't imagine having to deal with water spots with a black car. You guys with pewter cars are lucky

I guess I don't know how it is to have a dark car. Being my car is red, I still clean 1-2 times a week and wax it all the time. I'm sort of a clean freak . I assume if I had real problems with water spots I would eventually give up as well. But for now I'll keep cleanin the hell out of it

Mine is RARELY dirty. I usually go to the car wash daily. I don't mind because when she's clean a car in black is almost as good as sex ~Cole~

I live in Lubbock, and if anybody knows anything about Lubbock, then you would know that this place is flat as hell! so water just puddles up everywhere.

I heard the streets flood within 5 minutes of rain.

Brian,

I wouldn't say I'm "Lucky" I choose a Pewter car for a REASON

I have clinical OCD at times. So owning a car that gets dirty fast really isn't a good thing for me.

Seriously

Thats funny, i was just bitching about this last night. I was on my way home and a sprinkler was broken and it was shooting all over the road. I did not notice it because it was a fine mist and i had just detailed my car that morning.

I need to plan out a route that avoids all water. I have noticed some streets are worse then others but I have yet to find a way to avoid it all.
