Default I need to be Sprung

I have a TR230 cam under the tree, some tr7.4 pushrods, LS2 chain, scroggins ported LS6 oil pump. Question?- What springs should i run?
I was about to order the 918's, but i have read so many threads in the internal engine forum i decided to post up and get some opinions. I don't want to spend $400 for springs and would like to use the stock retainers.
Any help would be great!!!!!

The 918's would be fine. Also I would go with tit retainers, tsp has the best price on thoes.

Go with a sponsor's dual coil springs. You'll be happy with them. In fact, I have a set for sale in teh for-sale forum.

And lastly, EXCELLENT cam choice. I'm sure you'll love it.

He said he doesn't need to use "tit" retainers. Like the girl by his name.

If he uses dual springs, then I would run a double row chain for sanity reasons.

tit retainers would be nice, but like all **** they are expensive when you have to buy them. thankfully i don't have to buy my wife any unless she is doing a cam swap in the future

is there a spring out there over .600 that i could use the stock reatiners with? The max lift on the TR230 is .575, the 918's are .600 max. Would they be ok or would that be a little risky choice of springs. Any TR230 guys running 918's?

I have a brand new set of 918 springs here and also a set of titanium retainers with only 2000 miles on them that I might be selling.

I would probably want $300 for everything.

i looked at the patriot spring kit with the tit retainers, machined bases, locs, seal etc.
will that work with my stock heads and stock rocker arms? @ 255.00 seems like a good deal

Yes PP gold kit will work, but the 918's with stock retainers are sufficient for that cam.

Nice avatar.
